I think the song you are thinking of as Gaston's song is "Kill the Beast", the song played when Gaston is rallying people for the assault on Beast's castle. Though we could be talking of the same song I suppose. I just associate "Gaston's song" with the tavern song as his name is virtually every other word.

Actually, it was not in the parking lot, it was on the front "courtyard" of the hotel and they always put caution tape around the perimeter of the tesla coils. I was standing right behind the tape. Not to worry, every safety precaution there is is always observed. :)

I CAN do something this cool and I did it once using my 500W tesla coil and a self-oscillating transmitter with some PL504s in it. It is not that complicated but it sounds MUCH better than the video above. So do not shout such stupid things, you do not have any idea who I am and what I can do.

The growing darkness *is* pretty nice. Sorry about the shakiness, though, I was holding the camera while working another camcorder at the same time, but the colors aren't as vivid and the sound quality isn't the same with the other one. In these you can sometimes hear the echoes. Sorry you missed the show. It was awesome. FYI They will be at DucKon in Naperville, Illinois in June.

Not sure what you mean by off key trumpets and ovddrdriven guitars, all the sound other than the drums and pipe organ is coming from the coils. THEY are playing those sounds, using the spark to move the air producing sound.

si la intensidad se mide en serie y el voltaje en paralelo...por que mides del mismo punto? mides mal la intensidad (y cuidado que si estas midiendo la intensidad en paralelo..joderas el multimetro que ademas es de aguja...)

ok, tienes razon, el voltage que me da actualmente es 25.7 volts, esto se debe a que tengo un capacitor de salida de 10,000 uf a 25 volts, es por eso, pero el amperage es muy bajo, (no es 3), yo no tengo aparatos para checar correctamente el motor, pero ya estoy en eso. la bateria de alimentacion es una bateria de 12 volts.

Hi I'm new to the bedini's pulse motor and I have seen many types of magnet pulse motors here at youtube and, by the way, this is the best. I have some questions: 1. What keeps the "disc" spinning? Is it the magnets (like the perendev motor)? Or is it the "input power"? 2. If it is the input power, why does the motor accelerates? And why does it need the "initial push". Please remember that I'm a totally newbie to the subject and this may be stupid questions. :) 3. Is the COP > 1? Thanks!

As a continuation of my last reply, Tesla rightly surmised that his spark was a loss of energy. So we puny humans stare at the spark from the older version of the Tesla coil. But Tesla himself patented a new version with refinements and therefore no spark at all. Tesla's plan was to transmit as much as he could through the natural conductivity of the air at a pre-determine frequency. He discovered air is the best conductor at so many kilobars of pressure!

Kataze, not as cool looking. But remember that Tesla's vision was to provide for the wireless transmission of electricity. He realized the "spark" generated by his Tesla coil was lost energy. In his newer patent he thus refined his Tesla coil and that is what most people miss now when they build his Tesla coil.

Excellent Tesla Coil video. However, Tesla himeself in his patent felt that the discharging of sparks of his Tesla Coils were very inefficient in the transmission of wireless energy. Therefore, in his patent he devised a more efficient method. He also recommended frequency of 230,000 to 250,000 cycles at high voltage and use air as a medium at elevations of 15,000 feet or greater.

well actually the peak amperage by one of those things would give you severe burns. It has to be runnig close to 10000 watts, probably more. I would guess the voltage close to 2 million volts. Do the math and it would be close to 5 milliamp peak, 16 is enogh to kill so 5 would be extrodinarily painful. All of course guesswork.

Actually no, while the voltage of a Tesla coil is super high, the amperage falls super low creating generally safe wattages (Watts=Amperage*Voltage). Granted, on a Tesla coil of this magnitude, it may not be that good for you after all.
