It's true youtube compresses the shit out of the audio. Probably for the better considering the vastly differing quality/format of files loaded here. As far as guitr101's post, I saw that too and he was referring to a comment that was critical of the choice of instrumentation (bari-sax). No mention was made of the audio mix or quality.

Also, the person may be using lesser grade speakers/sound card which will definitely make you miss parts of the songs. Thank you, AGD. Fish WAS great. I agree that Hooks in You is nowhere near H's best, but it is very untypical and now very old. Easter is much better, but far better still are things like This Strange Engine and Ocean Cloud, to name but two. Prog crap? We're all entitled to our opinions, but first try listening to Marbles. fish is a poetical genius, in one line he invokes more emotional response and empathy with in a persons soul, he's up there with roger waters, jacksone browne, and john martyn, marrillion as they are now are indeed different and great musicians but it all went down hill since they sacrificed timeless songs for weak and technical based songs such as the pathetic "hooks in you". fish took the band to places that cant be desrcibed with words, fish and rothery were marillion, know its just prog crap

My comment was written after reading a few of the 1916 posts (on this and other videos) which seem to be dewey eyed about what happened in 1916. The reality was far more complex - what about the Irish, Catholic R.I.C. men killed by the I.R.A? What about the protestant Irish killed after the ceasefire? That said, I probably should not have posted without thinking - apologies for any offence caused.

For me the saddest part of Irish history is how the government under Dev turned on his former comrades and adversaries once FF joined the government.
