In my opinion, the best fight was the Annakin/Obi-Wan fight in Ep3; total all-out epic Jedi battle to end all epid Jedi battles. Runners up (no order) are Palpatine/Mace Windu, Palpatine/Yoda, and Dookoo/Yoda. The one with the most emotional content is easily the Luke/Vader fight in Ep6. Runner up is the Luke/Vader fight in Ep5.

"what could you expect?" --Geez, don't get your panties in a wad. I didn't say the Ep4 fight was bad, it's just the most lacking light sabre fight. Simple honesty. But it did have great emotional value, though. Far more than some others. But still wasn't the best in that category, either. And regarding it being made in the 70s, that has zero relevance to me. Japanese & Hong Kong films had great sword fight scenes for many years before that. So did American "swashbuckler" films.

Sith padawans were apprentices. There is no "in between" aka "knight" since the "Sith Rule of Two"-google this, I cannot fit my explanation, ensures only the best exist. Had Maul been strong enough he wouldve fought off Sidious and taken an apprentice to serve under him and become the "leader." And Maul's apprentice would do the same & taken an apprentice of her own & on & on. That is the Sith way (KOTOR). Sid killed his master, Darth Plageus to become leader & taken Maul as his apprentice.

I liked this part so much because, like George Lucus said, it's gives you a little preview of what's to come in the lightsabre fights, which always steal the show, for me, at least. Plus, Qui-Gon and Darth Maul are two of the coolest characters around. I wish they'd been in other films and such.

And in case u misinterpreted, Sid could hav kept th lightning going forever. Saying im too weak was also a ploy. Had i been in charge of killing Palpatine (wich would not made sence if he died in episode 3 but still) I would have sent the following: Yoda, Windu, Jinn (him not dying in episode one) and Kenobi... Yeah but like said he gets it back. That said this was one of the most disturbing fights I had seen in a show. It's good and I was really cheering Gon but even when I rewatch I still cringe at certain points even though I know what is going to happen. I still wonder if the TV series hadn't caught up to the manga if this fight could have been shown on TV in Japan (well much of this arc as well). Or if it would been altered to something else.
