I'm young, Morb obese i'm going for R&Y and i'm low in vitamin b12 I still have to take pills for that..other then that i'm Healthy. if it wasn't for your surgery you would of have worst problem such as Cancer, diabetes.. possibility lead the death.. obesity is worst then cancer.. Wel, you're not dead! You're very much alive. It's good you see in hindsight that you made the choice to have the RNY for the wrong reason (i.e. vanity), but getting the lap band instead would not have changed that reason. I hear you're frustrated with your new issues post surgery, but they're all manageable. I recommend not telling people what surgery to have or not have. That's a personal decision between a patient and their Dr. Just share your story. Let people make up their own minds.

Why didn't you seek the old school method of weight loss: eating healthy foods in moderation paired with frequent exercise? I'm surprised that the medical team you sought for this procedure did not defer you as a candidate because of your clear medical history. If your only motive was driven by vanity, I find it hard to believe that the they wouldn't suggest less invasive methods for weight loss before resorting to a gastric bypass.

Hi and thank you for being so open. I am so glad you posted this video. I am going for the gastric bypass surgery in a month. I wanted the band however do a hernia it is not an option and now i am doing some serious thinking. I just got word that they want to operate using a robot. Do you think it would make any difference. What you aren't considering is what health issues you WOULD have had in a few years.. at age 25 being 300+ .. you would have developed health issues that would be waaaaaay more difficult to deal with. You should do measurements. I finally did & it was so amazing! My week 3 weigh in is tomorrow & as of today I dropped 2 pounds. So you might lose. My surgeon promised me my lorazapam & then never gave it to me. I had several panic attacks before surgery. She later stated that she could not give me anything because I needed to sign some paperwork. But I had already signed them. So I am not sure what was up with that. But I made it through it & better for it!

I love your videos. You're so honest in them and detailed about what you're dealing with. Happy early birthday! I know what you mean about turning 25. I'm well over that hump now (27), but I remember being upset because 25 rounds to 30 and 30 is "Real Adulthood." :-)

Your So Funny... Thank you for answering my question... LOL... I am supposed to be on Anxiety meds, so thats what really really scares me. I dont take them, I can control my anxiety attacks for the most part. Your awesome, thank you for being so Honest, my fiance is getting it to, just before me so he should be there :) Happy Early Bday!!!
