The song doesn't sound too difficult. Try learning it by ear. =] The reason it sounds complicated is b/c there are most likey two guitars. Oh its the bass that enhances the sound of the guitar. =] I love this song though. Absolutely wonderful.

Just watched the documentary War Dance from Think Films about children with horrific experiences in Uganda who are from the Acholi tribe but find a beautiful space in their lives through music. Heartbreaking, yet stunning and uplifting. Oryema has a few songs on the soundtrack.

One should have a special sense of humor and huge open mind to find any valuable argument in your comment on the vibraphone... Maybe you've been tortured by this instrument as a kid? Or did I miss a bad joke? Or surely you don't know what you are talking about. Personaly I would not allow myself such bad criticism on any of those incredible musicians, even if I didn't like the sound of their instrument. My 2 cents.

Joe Locke never fails to amaze me. He is perhaps the greatest natural improvisor alive today, fresh, inventive, innovative yet earthy and soulful. His technique is simply unbelievable. A perfect example of all that jazz can be in the hands of a master. In this clip the whole is even greater than the sum of the parts as Geoffrey plays the intricate and lovely counterpoint to Joe. Wow, this is INCREDIBLE. Geoffrey Keezer man, he's so convincing. He can get so much power out of the piano, and he's so honest. Everthing he plays he plays so clearly and powerfully. Joe Locke is the same way man, but I'm just biased because I'm a piano player. This is great.

Thanks for the video. Geoffrey Hill is an incredible poet. I'm disappointed that the public has such limited exposure to his work. He is little studied in British acdemic institutions due to cataclysmic decisions on syllabi matters. It seems that poetry is hardly allowed to be difficult; the lines written by Geoffrey Hill are some of the most insitently harrowing, dramatic and absorbing in the language. Unique amongst living poets. His work cannot but be admired...

Hey , dgm I already own the live at tonic set and I can certainly say that I like Vertical Vision better. The first CD is great but the other two while proubly great to see if You were there "Live" don't do much for Me at all. Christian McBride is a super bass player but James Brown He Ain't I would Love to get a hold of some more of this Joe Locke ,Geoffrey Keezer,Terreon Gully music, is there anything availible on CD.
