For more info, scroll down to read my other comments. Another issue that I take with this program is when one of these pumps breaks down....and yes they WILL break down...who's going to fix it? Will American volunteer's pay thousands of dollars to fly out to these pumps to fix a corroded gasket, or refit a mis-threaded pipe fitting? I don't think so...I'm really just trying to look at this from an engineer's perspective rather than a jumped up yuppie who wants to have a "be-in" for Africa.

Talk about frustrating, you are not seeing the forest for the trees. This is not a handout, it is a one time expenditure for a piece of equipment that would provide water to a whole village. Girls would walk 100 feet for water as opposed to miles and hours. And they could go to school in their free time, which they can't do now. If I've said it once, I'll say it again for those of you who don't UNDERSTAND MY POINT OF VIEW. The problem isn't resource, they have all of that they need. The problem is EDUCATION, these people aren't being educated to FEND FOR THEMSELVES, only to rely on FOREIGN AIDE. No animal attacks people. An animal doesn't know the word "attack" and what that means and people can't hope to know what animals do or why they do what they do. If anything they operate on some kind of hardwired instinct. People project the concept "attack" onto animals because that's what they do. I'm Mexican and i used to live between Mexico city and Acapulco, recently a friend of mine who lives for about 30 miles away from my city found some kind of ancient idol figure very very similar to the mayan style and there are even some ruins in a place called Xochipala in Guerrero state, this ruins are maya stile building, for sure long long time ago maya's left their city's to come to this part or other civilization had communication with them!

We understand perfectly. Don't you know your solids, liquids and gases? Atoms slow down to become solids, which is why they don't move. A gas which is hot causes atoms to fly around like crazy, and with no container, the atoms are displaced and the gas disappears. Plasma is where atoms move so fast they smash into each other. No one understands what causes nuclear fusion in the first place! There is NO EXPERIMENTAL DATA that conclusively posits that nuclear fusion is a high temperature process. The only data they have is the fusion of deuterium in a nuclear fusion bomb---which is NOT caused by the heat--but is actually caused by the soft x-ray flux which causes the neutrons to overlap in momentum space--and NOT have higher relative velocity!! I'm not completely convinced that fusion power will provide a CHEAP source of electricity. However, I think that the science and technology is worth investigating and developing. Unfortunately, this documentary just glosses over this interesting subject. Furthermore, the editors got their numbers all jumbled up. The sun is 150 million km away, not 180 million. "A million times more efficient than today's nuclear plants" and "A trillion times more efficient than fossil fuel" WTF?

klar sind orcas viel intelligenter als katzen. aber nur weil du mehrere katzen hattest und sie immer ihre beute t�ten hei�t das doch nicht dass alle katzen so sind, meine l�sst die m�use �fter am leben... aber is ja auch egal, worauf ich hinaus will ist das orcas ihre beute wohl kaum freilassen, weil sie merken dass der bestand zu klein geworden ist (siehe Garmoydra) und sie sich sozusagen sorgen um die zukunft ihrer beute machen^^.

Komm schon, also es mag ja vorkommen, dass R�uber ihre Beute wieder freilassen, weil sie das Interesse verlieren... (trifft aber wohl eher f�r katzen zu, die eh genug zu fressen haben...). aber dass ein orca einen seehund wieder freil�sst, damit er sich vermehren kann und es sp�ter mehr seehunde gibt?!?!? das ist ja wohl der gr��te quatsch, den ich je geh�rt hab^^. Wale sind zwar sehr intelligent, aber das w�r �bertrieben.

kommt schon, Katzen spielen auch mit ihrer Beute,vorzugsweise wird die dann vor dem Herrchen abgelegt als Liebesbeweis. Manchmal werden auch die Beutetiere absichtlich wieder freigelassen. Und mit "Gnade" das Zurckbringen/Freilassen der Beute nichts zu tun. �berlebende pflanzen sich fort und sorgen somit f�r neue Nahrung. Vlt. war der Bestand an Robben "gering". Wieso sollten Tiere nicht merken, wenn pl�tzlich nur noch 200 anstelle von 500 Beutetieren am Futterplatz zu finden sind? Just my2Cents
