This music is really nice. I've seen a bit of China-Tibet debate here. I am neither Chinese nor Tibetan, I'm a Pakistani but want to say something - if say Texas had a problem with the current government in washington, should they break apart and become an independent state? I think China has every right to maintain its territorial sovreignty but of course they must investigate into the allegations raised by the tibetans and find a cure to it (if there's a problem).

They have "backing" players for their live shows and studio work. There is a drummer, percussionist, base player, classical guitarist, and for "Clocks", a piano is used. No matter how you thump on a Pipa - it won't sound like a drum. Without drums and bass, the ensemble pieces would not be as full. Yet sometimes they use only two "girls" and two instruments only. :)

If any one is inereted in buying a dan bau, there are really nice ones starting @ $175 @ saigonstrings.I LUV mine. Also the winds on the right can be purchased @ melodyofchina. That's where I bought my erhu....which I LUV!
