They could be released into the fields with more expensive or more important livestock and, in the event of a predator attack, the other animals would run while the goat locked up and hobbled or fell. The predator goes for the easier (And cheaper for the farmer) target. I've some claim this is the origin of the term "scapegoat".

Soo cute! I have 9 goats and I bottle fed 4 of them.people choose to bottle feed them so they are more friendly.They just milk tthe mom and give some of the milk to the baby(s).It also gives you a chance to monitor the feeding

My good friend Faye Craigen, of Newcstle upon tyne, has sucessfully bred some rare afghan goats. We had a great harvest last year, almost a tonn on a rarther small farm. Yeilding far higher than the common pygmys. The afghans can take a lot more working as well, often doing a 13 hours shift, the pygmys would be dead and rectally tattered!

Just like another vid here, i really question how real this is. It looks like they staged it all and made the camera cut to hide the fact that they replaced the goat with a dead one for the bird to carry off. Some older "documentaries" were all horrible staged (for example the famous Lemmings "running" off the cliff)

Feliz Rodr�guez de la Fuente filmed this in the early 70's in central Spain. He was the best! Unfortunatelly he died in a airplane accident in Alaska in 1980. Too bad, his documentaries where just phenomenal.

His documentaries where the most watched program in the spanish TV for several years... comparable to big sport events, something that has never happened before or after in any country in the world. After his death (Alaska 1980) there were critics about how certain scenes where filmed... in controled conditions.
