You are right. The Go Bots did come out first, but in this case; first was the worse! The Transformers were just better. They looked better. Their technology was better, and their characters were just better! Their storylines were even better! The Go Bots look like a cheap, low budgeted, generic, price chopper cartoon when compared to the Transformers. I know, because I watched them both when they first came out. I don't remember anyone who championed the Go Bots once The Transformers came out.

To add, there's already existing animation footage from Toei to make the Transformers animated series. Toei scrapped the idea of A.I. robots because they wanted robots to be "piloted", in response to the Microman & Diacron toys from Takara. So they gave the material to Hasbro. The animation from Japan is so dynamic, it makes the Gobots series look flat and uninteresting - which it is.

They weren't out THAT long before Transformers, though they did get out first. Then again, the first out of all the toys ever made was the one that is now called the original Megatron. The concept was toy robots that turn into other things. Gobots was handled with speed, but even the Hannah Barbara cartoon they had was not handled with efficiency.

When transformers came out, Hasbro planned out a better maketing stragedy, and that's how Transformers got more popular than Gobots, which led to them having their cartoon come out first. por fin alguien se animo a subir un extracto de aquellos a�orados dibujos. en mi pa�s estos dibujos los pasaron antes que los transformers. bueno, yo tenia como 9a�os cuando los vi por primera vez y aun sigo tratando de conseguirme la serie completa. se que en cuba lo pasaron el a�o pasado. increible! - youtube: "gobots cuba" me teletransportaste a mi ni�ez. gracias por subirlo. saludos. cuervorobot - Per�.

en su momento fueron populares, pero dur� poco, y podr�a decirse que transformers era una versi�n muy mejorada de esta serie; recuerdo haber tenido entre mis pertenencias 3 de las figuras de bandai; ah� quedan para el recuerdo, buena onda por subirlo.

mmmm fijate que me estaba enterando que estos personajes salieron en el a�o de 1984 yo tenia 5 a�os cuando salieron en la tv, ahora tengo 25, mientras que los transformes salieron en el a�o 1986 :D

No se en que a�o hayan salido estos personajes, recuerdo haberlos visto por primera vez cuando ten�a mas o menos 11 o 12 a�os, ahora tengo 25, pero a mi parecer son una copia muy mal hecha de transformers. Saludos a quien puso este video, porque traen recuerdos de la ni�es jejeje.
