Glad you liked the show- Coyote! We had fun making it. We did do our best to show the respect Schultes had for native peoples and their ceremonies and these are mentioned in the show: his traveling to Washington DC as a young man to defend the Kiowa's rights to use peyote in sacred ceremonies; the comments about Schultes being one of the first "anthropologists/ethnobotanists"- ie. white man who took the natives seriously and took their plants...when most thought of them as savages.

I agree with your Patricka, this woman got it all wrong. She should really learn how to do research and not just sit there reading the definition of it off of wachovia. She forgen to mention the VAST mount of other disorders that MOST OFTEN accompany disorders. Disorders that can be painful and dabilitating, like "brain fog", depersonalization disorder, derealization disorder, extreme panic attacks, drug induced anxiety disorder, etc. etc.

And to add a third, last point: I do not believe what you had was really true HPPD. If you state that your symptoms were "annoying" at worst, you did not have true HPPD. You would explain it in such a manner. You propose HPPD in a very relaxed attitude, as if it is nothing much to worry about; It CAN ruin lives, I have seen it. Research before posting.

And to add another point: please do NOT give the impression that HPPD is only triggered by LSD. Most of the RCs out there (2ce, 2ci etc..) are very potent in the HPPD realm. Almost anything can trigger HPPD if your mind is preset to attain it.

NeuroSoup, real HPPD can last WAY past a year. I know many people who have had it 10+ years with no drug use and a healthly lifestyle. Please don't spread false facts about HPPD. The majority of HPPD suffers I have encountered have never had a bad trip. Do not claim that being in the right mindset will significantly reduce your chances of getting it, you are entirely wrong. Please do your research before you post such a video.

I love this lady. In my journey, I may have experienced HPP, but not the D as it was entirely positive. I don't like the word disorder :D Thats one of the joys of halluginogens! Its so easy to know when you've had your trip and its time to participate in reality for a while:D

I've only experienced something like HPPD a few times, and while listening to music. 3rd Stone From The Sun by Hendrix is an example. The most intense one happened about 5 years after using LSD - I was relaxed while listening to the music, reclining in a comfortable chair. In brief: things got wavy, and otherworldly (for lack of a better word). I think in my case the flashback was memory related, and certain music acts something like a self-hypnosis trigger providing access to trip memories.
