I wrote the date/venue in the description. Apart from that i can tell you that it was a complete concert with various artists. All the performed songs were backed by the orchestra. Hammill only performed Traintime.

This is a snippet from a DVD that i edited of the historical Van Der Graaf Generator reunion concert from May 6th, 2005. It was edited from 7 different video footages, all shot from the audience.
The entire DVD (full show, over two hours) is shared via Torrents for a long time now.
For this version, i removed the 'not for sale' title that exists on the DVD

I was there, 2nd row center but had to move back as it was too "boomy" up close. Was nice to have those seats though. I flew in from the East Coast USA for the weekend to see this. I just got the CD named Real Time which is this concert in all it's glory, mistakes and all. No re-recording or overdubs. It's wonderful. Thanks for posting the video.

This was a great tour... the audience was bit of a middle-aged sausage fest, a few of them had brought their very bemused kids, but that could detract from fantastic performance, bless 'em all :) Have to say the latest album was worthy of any that went before, if not, better...

Although I don't see Graham Smith often now, I still consider him a friend. He's still teaching violin in Bristol and working now with a wonderful young singer/songwriter from Bristol called Katey Brooks. I was honoured to have Graham guest for me several times with my band doing local gigs in Bristol and to have him help out with some recordings I did.
