I've played some that are only 3 euros verses more expensive. The quality of the tone seems to increase with the expense of the instrument. A Steinway piano costs more than a Yamaha, but I prefer a Yamaha. I guess bottom line is whatever makes you happy.

The first one I got in Tucson, AZ in 1975, is supposed to be from Nashville and has the letters RICH etched in it. Haven't seen any since. I'd suggest item MMU-3 from the Dan Moi website in Germany which is a harp made in Hungary and has a similar look and tone for 22 euro.

We took Az State Route 87 to Four Peaks Road (FR143) turn-off. About 20 miles of winding dirt mountain road connecting with State Route 188 on the North side. We drove it in a 2 wheel drive Toyota pick-up on a rainy day. Just found these cautions today when I was searching Highway information. Caution: 4X4 is required on FR 143 after the Ballentine Trail. Erosion has damaged area trails, use them with great caution. Warning: One of the highest concentrations of black bears in Arizona.

Yeah, the horn is a fairly new model, and is only originally applied to GE ES44AC's and ES44DC's. A few of them have deviated from those units and been found on a few other locomotives, but since the one in the video was fairly new, it was a dead givaway. YouTube makes it hard to show links, and that's the least runaround way I could come up with to do it. Thanks again, and like I said, fun video.

Excellant job UPTRAIN! You're the official Railroad Research Expert at Hank Plow Productions. Nice way to get around YouTube default that eliminates links in commemts. I checked out the AirChime K5HL specs and played the tones it's supposed to be tuned to on my piano. Sounds like I caught a well tuned K5HL!
