The top does make a small amount of noise but nothing compared to the rabbit softtop. Anyways how often do you drive without the radio on. My wife bought one 4 mos ago. It's a nice car but its still a chick car like the Rabbit. She paid $28k for hers.

does any one have an idea if and eos (2.olt petrol turbo) would be quicker than the new 325i convertible. My dads got the EOS optioned up with 18s and McPherson struts and my mate jst got a new 325...i wanna run him lol

I like that color combo. Might get one but will definitely get the extended warranty as I owned 2 new Beetles and lots of problems with them. Nothing else out there as a hardtop conv other then Pontiac and I heard pretty bad stuff about it and it's the same price so no brainier decision. Wish Mazda or Toyota made one like this. Hate soft top's.

These cars were not "prone to failure". The mechanisms did have problems when the nut behind the wheel did not follow operating instructions, like stopping the action mid-way between up or down. These are very reliable, well engineered cars especially for 1957.

Wow! Are you saying the chrome 'T' handle engages the overdrive? Seems a bit hefty. I thought little toggle switches or column stalks were more in order for that. The handle reminds me of what operates the parking brake on several generations of 50s and 60s British Fords. Where is the parking brake on this Jack?

It sure is, Chris! Reupholstery is available in kit form for many popular cars, now. For the more difficult patterns, the original fabrics may be available and seat covers made by skilled upholsterers, using the originals as a pattern. Jack, A 1969 Camaro could be equipped with the SS package, consisting of performance items for the suspension and high performance engines. An SS 350 engine produced 300 HP. Any Camaro, the base model, an SS, and Z/28 could be optioned with the Rally Sport (RS)package. The Rally Sport package consisted of appearance and convenience items, including the hidden headlights seen here, and trunk spoiler. So it was possible to have an RS/SS and even a Z/28/RS Camaro. This appears to be original.

i seen some ss camaros with flip head lights too, but like you i don't know enough about camaros,now if its a mustang! :) i know plenty! :) like what makes a 1968 shelby gt-500 kr a gt-500 kr, but camaros where never a huge interest to me, they are nice and i really like the first gens the best, the 70s 80s and 90s/2001 where totally boring to me, no interest period,i guess to each there own, but i do try to make a effort to learn things about mopars and gm products, i really like all oldies! :)

nice car!, the ss stands for (super sport) there was also a rs (rally sport) and Z28 (which was a racer version), the ss had big engine and some unique touches and interior, the rs was a lower end car, and had flip headlights and was all looks, nice car, i am thinking this is a clone? the flip headlights only came on rs models? i am pretty sure, but the owner could have added the flip headlights, i would! :) nice car and thanks for sharing, - your buddy Brent

Really nice car mate, love the classic val's, the blinds in the back are a nice add but with all that white a classic large thin woodgrain wheel would be a nice look and improve the cruze with the low profile wheels. I really like the vinal roof too, so many people take them off. If it were my car ( i wish) i would have the polished classic hubcapped rims with a wide white wall and still lowered, i think the orig rims and large rubber make the car seem lower than filling the arches with chrome.
