Right, the stalk is where the sugar's at. All the leaves is considered trash and is best left in the field. The less leaves in your load to the mill the more you get paid. This machine cost around $300,000 ballpark. They don't burn the cane very often b/c of enviromental reasons(smoke) and b/c a cane field on fire is a HUGE fire and can be hard to control. The cane must be cut not long after its burnt. Not sure on the variety of this cane, sorry.

It is possible for it to choke, but it's pretty rare that it happens. Usually they run about 7mph but can run wide open if they burn the cane first to remove the leaves.

Yes the bar on front is for pushing other tractors in muddy conditions. I'm not too sure about the the tire size, i think it may have something to do with clearance. It must not cause differential problems b/c it is a very common configuration down here.

4:00 was probably abroken string....i know a lot of guys that have had that happen but they arent able to switch guiars cuz if they have more than one at a gig it's probably in a different tuning so they have to suck it up and use thier musical knolege to find the same notes they need on different strings....and because i always have a back up guitar i have never once had to use it.... poor bastard though it happened during ''ONE'' too at that show
