The mention of the car keys & the 'smash' seem to suggest that, but I also like that this song captures that overall feeling of saying something regrettable that can't be taken back, & the person completely closing off & leaving, with you unable to stop what's been set in motion. It's that time, very early morning, when no one's thinking straight & everything is diffused & unclear. I like that the song ends with those last ringing notes, Heap's songs carry you thru a lot of different emotions.

Yeah, Love4JonStewart, I'd never seen this video before either. And surprisingly, it seems to be shot in New York City, kind of unusual given that neither Urban Species nor this particular song ever seemed to even get noticed over here back then. I wonder whether they were over here performing or something, or made a special trip from the UK to make the video?
