fuck you dude. Heroin is terrible. Withdrawal last seven to 14 days. You vomit, have fevers, get the kicks, its extremely painful worse then anything you can imagine. After that you have to deal with the phylogical affects. Plus most addicts dont have lives after word because heroin has become there life. SOrry they can't afford to go to a decent rehab.

I think the only thing that would've made the sketch funnier, is if they'd had that scene where everyone realised they'd bought the same present for him, and them being all embarrassed and him doing the 'oh well, I'll take it all' bit ... the one point they missed at Christmas time. Otherwise, I totally agree with what you're saying, it's meant to be a commentary on how present-exchange goes at Christmas. They added the drugs to be taboo.

20 yrs off of heroin. Congrats Nikki. I have read the book and it was amazing. So many emotions. And the music is beautiful and full of nothing but the truth and hardships he faced. People don't seem to understand just how hard it had to be for Nikki to actually take a diary from the most excruciating year of his life and lay it out for the world to see in both writing and lyrics. I think he did a wonderful job and a wonderful thing. Maybe some people read it and change too.

The Doors were excellent musicians. The VU weren't, but their primitive approach didn't demand all that much skill. VU music is life and human emotion. There's at least one great VU love song,"Mirror." Doors is fantasy and no love, just sex. The VU versus hippies thing may have been self-righteous types telling the VU that they shouldn't be so negative - missing the point of what the group was doing.
