If he wants to pay in the NBA, he will have to improve his game in his next few years at Alabama. He's good, no one will question that. He already showed everyone he can dunk, and he has some good passing and handling skills. But, he needs to improve his shot, and make better decisions with the ball. The main thing he lacks is experience, but yes, I think someday he will make it in the NBA.

Mike died from alcoholism in 1992. After the Byrds he joined the Flying Burrito Brothers and then played extensively with Gene Clark both on tour (when sober) and on recordings. I don't know why Mike was not on this tour in 1978.

Too bad David Crosby wasn't there to do the 4th verse of this song; that would have been the ultimate! He did show up at the San Francisco show in 1978 (on the Doin' Allright for Old People bootleg CD) but they only did 3 verses like here and he didn't sing any lead.

I have not read Hillman, only Jung. But dismissing the symbolism of Christ, the solar babe, etc., would indeed be ludicrous considering his import in alchemy. Hillman is unbelievably biased when dismissing the myth of Christianity which has enabled individuality. He strangely refuses to see that and this is a shame to a psychologist. Pagan culture was a group culture. Hillman even doesn't try to understand christian myth and psychology, as C.G.Jung did - he just dismisses it which would mean dismissing all western heritage of christian era, including C.G.Jung. I would like to talk to Dr. Hillman. I read his book on war, because I was reading Bair's biography of Jung. Jung wrote a book called "Wotan" just before the outbreak of WW2. His warning was clear. Since Hillman studied with Jung, why didn't he mention Jung's work in the area? I will be following more of Hillman.

No its not an Imp block, Its a 1.8 vvc Rover K-series. The engine is standard apart from a larger throttle body, cone filter and straight through home made exhaust. Its mid-mounted running a pg1 gearbox, mgf drive shafts mounted in a metro front subframe. Modified cage to include subframe mounts and Im in the process of making it as light as possible with lots of fiberglass.

Just forward to the last 20 seconds, listen to it, then start it over right away. The tempo change is QUITE drastic. Especially when you have to keep it up to match Jorgensen's delay for the solos.

I can't believe these guys lost the tempo at the end! The guitar is totally screwed up by the end. Not to mention out of tune. I love this band, and remember seeing this show when it first came out and going "What the F..k"! are they all drunk or something? And Emy sounds like she has not even a clue where the harmony is. She keeps singing Herb's part an octave above. And not exactly in tune. I love this band, and to keep their good name alive, this performance should be lost to the ages....

That picker just happens to be John Jorgenson...an amazing Musician & all around great person! I first met him when our rockabilly bands played together back in ye old 1980's... his band was the Shakin' Snakes and mine was Jumpin' Bones. He is a jazz poet with a guitar.

crosby comes across as "everyone's happy uncle" but the truth is that he was a spoiled, manipulative fat boy who knew how to harmonize. If he had been more supportive of Gene Clark, the Byrds would have been a far more influential group. Crosby admits to pitting the band members against one and the actual role that he played. McGuinn wasn't much better. They were jealous of Clark getting the royalty rewards.

Uh, Crosby is basically an asshole, and his writing is substandard compared to the major contributions of Gene Clark, McGuinn, and Stephen Stills. Read the history: Crosby didn't write any major Byrds hit except possibly as a co-writer. He did better with CSN, but yer a birdbrain if you don't know the incredible legacy of Stills as a writer. Yer a dodo-bird, fer sure.
