I don't see how she's the same as Winehouse. Kate Moss was photographed taking drugs once 3 years ago - which is wrong but doesn't make her an addict she was probably a casual user - and she hasn't had any legal or drug related problems since whereas Amy Winehouse is a drug addict who has been arrested multiple times in the past few years for drug taking and assault.

Ok, in some ways, FDR made it costly for 25 years--but a Depression did not last that long. How would we be in a Great Depression, PAST WW2? We got out of it by mobilizing our economy and putting people to work in industrial jobs. the unelmployment rate went way down when we were in war and it stayed that way even after it.

The country didn't level out of the depression for over 25 years. Roosevelt prolonged the Depression just like Hoover helped create it. Hoover even argued with his laissez-faire treasury secretary Andrew Mellon. Hoover and FDR were both statist socialists who used government to prolong the great depression and literally destroy the economy's ability to correct itself.

Yeah, he did do some things BUT, his problem was that he could not take control of his own government, like FDR did! He generally tried calming the public down by saying that the banks and industry and economy would boom again, but not really doing anything in return to fix the economy. BTW- I don't ever remember or hearing FDR proclaiming himself as the "savior"

Actually, he did initiate a great amount of government intervention. Don't believe me? Just ask FDR, who attacked his economic meddling, and promised to free the markets. FDR won, and then intervened to a heavier extent, then claimed himself as the "savior".

Once, Bob was testing an F-86 with an experimental fly-by-wire system controlling the elevator. During take-off, he lost elevator control, the aircraft slowly pitched up, and finally lost airspeed. Bob kicked the rudder, made a stall turn and headed down. Fortunately the F-86 slowly pitched up again very close to ground and started a new climb out. After a series of stall turns, Bob managed to bring the F-86 under control, and landed at Muroc dry lake, still without elevator control. What a man!

I had the chance to shoot some video at Hoover Dam and thought it would be fun to do a tilt-shift effect on it. Seeing such a monstrous creation look like a toy is cool. I particularly like the second to last shot, which looks down at the Colorado River from atop the dam.

The reason for that - it was best out of 3 games and this was Sat. for a doubleheader if necessary. The intro of the video was of the players being introduced (game 2) so Hoover was Home for game 2... The final game 3 - it changes, so Hoover was visitor for game 3....

kimmiko, i play for hoover, and hoover deserved it. you know why? Hoover has more heart, more desire, and they didn't let their mistakes get inside their heads, unlike opelika. Our players focused on what was ahead of them, not behind them. As Coach Davis says, the most important pitch in baseball is the NEXT one. Hoover did what it took to win, and Opelika didn't.

Right.There was No reason to play the championship games cause U "Deserved" it. U "Deserved" it by playing a weak schedule to jack up your record. U "Deserved" it by getting outscored by Hoover 23-15. U "Deserved" it by jumping the backstop on a lucky game 1 win. I'm neutral & saw all 3 games. GAME 1 - in 10 innings Hoover gives it away- 3 - 4. Opie's celebrate by climbing backstop after winning by a hit-by-pitch - say BUSH league! GAME 2 - Opie players are arguing with each other while getting butts kicked 12-4. GAME 3 - Opie's up 6-2 in 6th inning r pre-celebrating dancing n dugouts. Opie's parents in stands putting on Champion T-Shirts... Hoover comes back in the 7th and scores 5 runs - Opies cry & throw helmet... Can u say Karma?
