I agree, but there isn't any camcorder that is powerfull enough for 1080p 24fps today as far as I know, at least not for consumer friendly prices. And 4:4:4 I guess would also require much more bitrate wouldn't it? I would especially like such a camcorder to record at VBR high precision in lower bitrate, such as 4mbit/s for 720p, that would be better to then upload the video on the Internet and the quality would be the same as a 9mbit/s low precision encoding.

This would be the BEST CAMCORDER ON THE MARKET IF it was 1080P, had 24P frames, had 3CCD or 3CMOS and different recording format other than H.264 or MPEG4.(I'm also missing 4:4:4 color sampling rate but no camcorder on the market has 4:4:4) Sanyo is right on the money going tapeless, you don't have to recapture on PC or MAC which SAVES so much time. I notice that the HD2 tahat you shot with can focus very close - at 9:16 to 9:24 and 11:00 to 11:15, it seems to have locked onto the dirt on your wide-angle auxilliary lens. you had to zoom past the minimum focus to get it off. Impressive close up ability.

I really like this idea of technology, it looks cool on furniture. I didn't like the woman reporting, seems like she thinks that phillips was trying to sell the tech to consumers. I don't think phillips was worried about the size of the battery, or battery life, because the people wearing them were being paid, and their satisfaction doesn't matter.

I am thinking of buying one of these. couple of questions. 1 are they easy to use? 2 is it easy to download games (i hear it plays almost all snes, mega drive, saturn...etc games) is it good value. Cheers

Sucked ass? the Dreamcast had incredible games and so did the N64, the Playstation had "more" games. And the Dreamcast didn't fail because of bad games...it was bad marketing, the stupid sony hype AND the DVD hype people had (a video game console meant to play games wasn't good for them, they wanted a DVD player that could play games as a secondary feature which is ridiculous).

This one is awesome mostly because you can run whatever you want on it since it's totally "open" or "unlocked" if you will. BUT you should wait to get the new one that's coming out next month called the GP2X Wiz...this one came out in 2005 and they stopped making it 3 months ago or so. The Wiz is almost twice as powerful as the PSP and can do much more, and it still uses SD cards which is great.

its bassically a handheld pc running linux so anything that will run on linux or run from a linux emulator it can run doom which is 'fake' 3d it can run duke nukem which is also fake 3d it can run some other 3d/fake 3d games aswell with wine you can run any game that will run under wine and that ca nbe run on the specs thsi has

Well maybe it really is better when it comes to the CPU and so on but what about the games. I haven�t seen any 3d games on it... When the Playstation was out it had to compete against N64 and even Dreamcast. both the N64 and the Dreamcast where better but the games just sucked ass and so Sony won the "game". Even today you can buy a New PSOne for 99? in the internet. So it�s not about the graphics but about the games. BUT what good games has this handheld?

It's nice to see a different company trying to innovate on the handheld gaming market which has traditionally always been an extreme oligopoly. Additionally, Japan has always dominated this market and it's cool to see a Korean company (GPH) stepping up. I owned the GP32 and it was, in its time, the best handheld for retro emulation; I still use it today to beat old Nintendo games I never finished as a kid.
