Thanks for the vid. This was my first computer and we spent about $2000 for it since we also got an ImageWriter printer and a green monochrome monitor with it. Oddly 25 years later and the prices are nearly the same!

Idk , I got an 8yo computer that is still fast with vista. Granted tho in its day it was a several thousand dollar server. I think todays servers are going to be main stream home computers in only 7 to 8 years time.

Yeah, I've got my "crappy" Macintosh LCII sitting here next to me and I'm STILL in love with it (from 1992!). It just looks like a home appliance compared to the high tech crap nowadays. As for those 30KB word documents, that's nothing but 30KB of Meta data or whatever. Is that all people care about nowadays is finding their files and putting their name all over it? I think not!

Well yeah, but you cannot do serious work easilz or comfortablz on C64 And CoCo 2 is out of question...it cannot even display white, its text mode is strange dark green on green and it has "overscan" and it can do just resolution 128 x 192 in 4 horrid colors or 256 x 192 in monochrome

$1300 wasn't a bad deal for what it was back then but then of course you could have gotten a C64 for $399 or a TRS-80 color computer 2 for $159 to $259 back in 1984. So yah apple always was a little high but it still was cheaper then a fully decked out IBM which could run up to 4K.
