Great song ! Only recently become a fan of Imogen Heap (and no it's not because of Twilight). I am a huge fan of Twilight, but seriously it has to stop sometime, right ? Why doesn't someone make a video that says 'This video is about Twilight - Come comment!' Would be a lot easier and less frustrating to the Twilight haters. Fair enough they get more recognition from the film/book but its getting a little old seeing so many comments about it on a range of songs.

It took me 9 years to track this tune down, but god was it worth it!! One of the best chill out tracks of ALL TIME. Really got me into Imogen Heap too. Her stuff both solo and with Frou Frou is definately worth checking out. Also Listen to Her track Headlock from the "Speak For Yourself" album (2006) :)

Critical thinking here...AH! a got it! duh, it's about a person confessing to thier loves one they cheated on them and the other one flips out. The words of the cheater are reassuring, like she(assuming from the arguement that the angry one a is a male) knows she did somethin wrong but beleives it's not that big a deal. The other thinking it's a very big deal and is in such a rage they lose it.

I wonder, if when she says "Mother please", maybe this song reffers to a horrible situation that has to do with her mother? It also could be somebody else close to her. I think that this song has to do with somebody dear to her becoming enfuriated by something she said/did, and maybe dying in a car accident very early in the morning or late at night. That's what I percieve anyways. I love this song either way, so many negative emotions at once: pain, sadness, regret, guilt, sorrow. So touching..

The mention of the car keys & the 'smash' seem to suggest that, but I also like that this song captures that overall feeling of saying something regrettable that can't be taken back, & the person completely closing off & leaving, with you unable to stop what's been set in motion. It's that time, very early morning, when no one's thinking straight & everything is diffused & unclear. I like that the song ends with those last ringing notes, Heap's songs carry you thru a lot of different emotions.

This is great to see her roughed out a bit. Live is unpredictable. What if you had a cold, or are just getting over one, and your voice just cracks. Or your mother died. Or your boyfriend cheated. It happens. Recordings are like Kodak for sound. It's the real thing happening (good or bad) in the moment that makes you want to take the picture in the first place.
