Impale creates an effect and stuns heres the trigger for Chronosphere: Event - A unit starts an effect of an ability Condition - Ability being casted equal to Chronosphere Action - Pause (triggering unit) Set Animation Speed 0.00%. Thats why and the casted of the unit impale is not a unit so yeah :)

I will not buy this game because the maker of the game thought it's a good idea to make the goo balls swear at the player when they connect to other goo balls... the sounds are very high pitched and fast forwarded, but what i can make out using specialised software are sounds like "eat your mother", "hit me, bitch", "suck my balls" and "blow me bitch"... This was also present in the beta version of the game, called "Tower of Goo Unlimited... Paying for a game that swears at you is weird...

In FF1, it failed because Kirie fell in love and didn't wanted to leave the world. In FF2, it was the fault of Yae, yes, but Itsuki gave them the chance otherwise they had performed the ritual. In FF3 it failed cause Reika also fell in love and had seen her lover die before her eyes. But you are right, in FF4 it's only the main antagonist fault that the ritual failed.
