What's so funny is that I've played with Joe and he told me himself that he prefers his Silver Selmer Balanced Action instead of this horn lol. I play on a Silver Mark VI he sad he would even play my horn instead of that Borgani so it's so funny to me.

Romanrec, "The man is the sound". You've just summed it up.
By: bluesax291. on 13 Dec 08, 17:03:10
He talking 7min of 8,5 and most rubbish, sax is not better than other modern products and thanks for showing this. One guy(holosax?) plays better sound and feeling on Barg with DG mpc on youtube. I´m the old sax man, do not believe in new made and this video show me the real things, rubbish talks about "10 necks" it´s cheap commercials ,1700-2000$ Martin The Tenor, Big B or M10 with DG mpc are better then 5000$ Bargani, we talk not about MKvi or Super 2o before 60-th , they have the "It".
By: bluesax291. on 13 Dec 08, 16:46:39
Boring and sax is not better then other modern saxophones

lovano is an absolute master of using sound and timbre. his tone is one of the most nuanced and variable that i have ever heard. listen to the way he uses different tone colours in his ballad playing on 'i'm all for you' with hank jones. the guy is a master and if you can't hear it your not listening right.
By: user3222. on 05 Dec 08, 13:57:34
I agree with you both, old horn's are more solidly built and AID you in your sound (don't give you a good sound) yet I have also tried a Borgani and was disappointed.
By: gagi1963andjeo. on 11 Nov 08, 12:23:45
5 stars!
By: patrickgamil. on 10 Nov 08, 15:38:11
also helps if you have a giant abdomen, with what set up lovano plays. big bore and big opening. joe henderson is tiny compared to lovano but has a different physical approach to his sound which is also wonderful. henderson uses the selmer classical piece and relies on the mic. i like hendersons sound as much as lovanos
By: patrickgamil. on 10 Nov 08, 15:31:11
a ramble for sure. but honest and based on his inpressions, subjective he's a great player speaking from HIS heart. but, AT 4:22 HE MAKES MORE SCIENTIFIC COMMENTS. the bore IS WIDER THAN A MK VI
By: decus69. on 07 Nov 08, 01:04:33
What a wanker.
By: Saxyman14. on 29 Oct 08, 17:07:17
It's all Gimmicks. a good horn is a good horn. You'll get different tone qualities from different horns. What is worse to you will be better to someone else. I can't play most Selmers cause they don't go with my sound at all. If you'd been told all this time that selmers were shitty, you'd have a negative bias towards them, even if you played them and liked them. That's how people are. There is no one horn that is right for everybody. It's the same reason there are prescription glasses.
By: hitmanisback. on 29 Oct 08, 16:05:33
yes they do old horns arnt made from alloy they are propper brass ,that makes a whole load of dif you cnt reproduce that sound the older conns martins and selmers had ,even the ref 54 dosnt match up to a 6 and thats the same company ,i take it you are adding those fake chinese bendy horns in your comment as all horns are the same uh
By: Saxyman14. on 29 Oct 08, 12:33:15
VI's are JUST SAXOPHONES. No horn has anything over another one. It's all about preference. He prefers Borgani. Obviously you don't.
By: hitmanisback. on 28 Oct 08, 14:12:19
If you were getting a free horn youd bullshit all day long like lovano ibet he has a selmer 6 stored away ,borgs are nasty tried them and wouldent part with the cash buy a yammy custom or somthing of that ilk reliable ...yts62 owner

By: betgilson. on 23 Oct 08, 10:00:38
Lovano! a great player and a boring and awful speaker, buaaahhh! not convincing at all, make me an impression from somebody I can´t trust.
By: unacarafea. on 22 Oct 08, 21:26:34
Infomercial for what? Customizing a horn for thousands of dollars? He really didn't say much positive about the horn itself without all the customizations.
By: Pickpocket86. on 05 Oct 08, 06:14:13
The horns are great... And A great player.... Maybe you just dont understand what he is doing.... Open your ears
