Great! I always loved Picasa,and this version is the best so far,no doubt! Since I don't really edit my photos,the features Picasa contains are way enough for me :) I usually make the colours warmer,add bigger contrast,and that's all:) What I really love in this new version is the improved photo-collage tool...I absolutely love it! If you are not a pro photoshopper,who need massive amount of tools,just want to organise your shots,download it! You can lose nothing :)

I haven't tried Picasa yet, but I doubt if it has advanced image editing features like that. It is mainly for organizing and sharing your photo collection. Picasa allows you to make some basic changes, like removing red-eye, changing the light levels, cropping, etc, but you'll need some type of "proper" image editor like Gimp (which is also free) or Photoshop to actually retouch and then save the new image. I may be wrong as I haven't tried it yet. Maybe somebody else can confirm this... ;)

i like the idea, but i think it should be called something like "visitor connect" because it's really targeted more at people who run public sites than the friendly bunch of people that want to interact with one another on the site. it initially sounded to me like a facebook wannabe, and it's not... quite. the shared id thing is... good for some sites, maybe not for others. mind you, there's nothing to say that the external id is publically visible... or maybe there is?

this is really not an intimate environment. I love google, but they're better developers than actors. In my dreams, google masters the art of remote intimacy, outside of the search engine. Yeah I laughted my head off at that comment about myspace. I guess when they called their CSS classes whitetext15 and then promptly changed it to 18 blue text :-) That was them making it easy for users to customise :-D Or when they sued all the companies that help u customise their poor CSS. You start off saying how much easier you make it for everyone, some guy starts coding python in a way I've never seen it done before. I've taken python tutes and did well - but I'm a 10 year PHP, JavaScript and ActionScript developer so I'm going to need a lot better overview of what you're doing.
