I thought Mark Slaughter was a flat chested girl the first time I saw this. I am not joking. Vinnie Vincent was a pretty good guitar player especially for someone who is mentally ill. And he looked like an ugly chick. I am glad Mark Slaughter and Dana Strum went on to success after VVI. Slaughter can sing and Strum is a good bass player and producer. Well im currently in some serious pain after hitting a bank of jellyfish in france yesterday while doing my cross-bay swim. I have bursting blisters and weeping sores all over my body & most of my arms and legs have swollen up like elephant man. For those thinking this isnt a potential nightmare on a broader scale check out the story of a jellyfish bloom (billions of them, 35ft deep in 10 square miles) that wiped out a salmon farm in Northern Ireland (try search jellyfish salmon farm)

I think I'd wear a full wetsuit instead of just the top like I used to, but due to some really bad eye damage, my eye doc won't let me even swim anymore. Too much bacteria in the water and I get really bad eye infections. Pisses me off since I so loved diving

Well, it certainly seems to have been the solution in every place that's tried it. You can compare the US to other countries, but compare one part of the US to another. Every place in the US with strict gun laws has a high gun crime rate, while almost every place with lax gun laws has a low crime rate. Also, mix all the ethnic groups of the US together in another country and try to tell me the crime rate won't soar there.

Mofo, citizens use firearms to defend themselves both in and out of their homes on a regular basis, so your claims of armed self defense being too difficult are rather hollow. The main problem is that you are giving criminals way too much credit. You seem to think that bad guys with guns can't lose, but good guys with the same guns can't win. In reality, criminals are usually untrained with firearms and can easily by defeated by anyone reasonably capable of defending themselves.

Ok, I guess the two of us have undergone different close combat and urban combat training then. Point is that while you're inside your house and have the advantage of knowing the surroundings and stay undetected, weapons may be a good defence. Preferable shortbarreled and semi-automatic. Outside your house you don't have that advantage anymore as you never know who the attacker may be untill it's too late. Also an unexperienced person may not react according to training while under fire.

It's actually7 in the dresser when I'm sleeping....the point IS to keep it nearby. That is going to be intertwined with your weapon familiarity. Weapons can be kept safe and away in a close space and deployed quickly with minimal (but smart) training. A common misconception by those not familiar with firearm function or practice.

Everyone, gun owner and gun victim alike should lock all of their doors at night. This isn't much of a deterent, rather, it's a warning. When they break that window or kick in that door, they've lost the element of surprise. So a criminal at no time should have the element of surprise when it comes to the homeowner. Kind of off-track to guns but I thought I'd throw that out there.

Ok, I see your point. It's true that while inside your house you'll have the advantage giving the circumstances you are aware an attacker breaking in. Ok, I see your point, but let's see it from the other side. Do school-shootings and other attacks on civilians happen because they are not armed? I don't think it's just that simple. I mean, compared to other countries USA by far exceeds comparable nations when it comes to policemen killed on duty, even though they are armed. Of course the criminals are armed as well, but the solution is not to pour more weapons into the society.

On the other side, an armed policeman is doing his job when carrying a gun and is prepared at all times to use it. For instance they usually load the gun and ready the holster for the least of suspicion. Should civilians do the same? How do you protect yourself with a gun? Do you sleep with it under you pillow, or keep it next to you front door in case someone rings the bell? The attacker always has the moment of surprise, so unless you constantly walk around with your gun drawn it won't help you much. The attacker however, would know that he has to be at least equally armed. So what do you prefer, an attacker with a gun, or one without a gun?
