Thank you for this video, full of charm and "fraicheur".

Phil, I think the camera might be part of the reason more people don't stop. Sen Kerry came past walking his dog that day over in the Public Garden and gave us a wide berth-I'm sure the camera was one reason. YF, J.

That's too bad. I would think you would attract a small crowd.

Rocky, it's a bad dub from a DD. It's okay, but not one of my favorites. I am sure Whiteman's rendition is much better.

John, your offering history! Be proud of that! And an absolutely ingenious way of presenting it to people :-) Best, Tom

Tomfroekjaer, Thank you so much for your kind words. I want so much to convey the spirit of listening to these wonderful old machines and recordings in at least a small way. I'm amazed and flattered that so many people here on YouTube seem to enjoy my little offerings. Regards, J.

Phil, I'd also like to hear the Blue Amberol rendition of "I never knew." I'm wondering if it's as good as Paul Whiteman's.

Like John said, they were completely oblivious; I wanted to walk over and tell them that they could look forward to seeing themselves on YouTube, as if I remember correctly, they were talking about putting their snapshots online... ? MordEth

Phil, Some people stop, but most just walk on by. A lot glance over and smile, but they usually keep walking. That day though, a middle-aged couple started dancing down the walkway when they went by. I wish they had been in view of the camera!

Rocky, that is "I Never Knew." I have that on Blue Amberol somewhere. There were two different songs with this same title and I love them both. My favorite is on a Victor batwing by Roger Wolfe Kahn. I will have to do a video of that on my VV 2-65 for YouTube.

Thanks for sharing, John. That looks like fun. When you play your records, do people generally ignore you or do they stop by and listen?

Rocky, Good ears! No The two shebas were only taking snap shots of each other. They were oblivious to us videotaping! YF, J.

I also heard a snippet of the song "I never knew" on this recording. I guess this was a medley fot-trot. Did the music scare off the two people with the pink bag who looked as though they were about to spread out on the ground within hearing range of the phonograph? :-)
