The guy in the Marine Dress Blue uniform wearing the Lance Corporal chevrons is out of line. It is illegal for any member of the armed forces to wear the uniform to a political demonstration for one and second, I see all his medals, not one is combat related! The counter culture of the 1960's/70's were at least smart enought to march on Washington, where legislature is passed. I do not really know who this Bing West, but just as easy as all the soldiers could be lying, so could he. So why would I take his word at face value over any ones else's? Am I wrong to think his choice of words sound more like redrict then a fare argument? If I want the truth I can just go ask a vet myself, not that hard. We only need bases in the Middle East if we are an imperial power. We created much of the crisis in the Middle East by installing the Shah and funnelling weapons to various regimes in ME.
