I ve got a problem with both positions. Why shouldn t music entertain? Fact is that this music (concerning rythm etc) is perfect to chill. I don t like music without message either at least not all the time. But not every song has got to be political just because the old ones were (and even those werent JUST political ones).

I don't hate danes, i just don't like the ones that try to replicate reggae and fail miserably. I would not have commented on your taste in music had you not commented on mine before that, if you cannot remember that bit of our conversation then you also have bad memory. I also would not say that the melody in this song is by any means good. There are many 80's reggae songs which I like that have the typical 80's sound (don't like) but I still listen to, because the music is good, i.e not this.

First of all, you can stop referencing the video because that has nothing to do with the music itself. Having cleared that up, the only thing left that would be different had it been a jamaican band in the 70's would be the production, or as you mentioned, "the recording sound." So to conclude: you don't hate the song itself, you hate danes and 80's production. fair enough - but don't assume i have bad taste in music just because i can overlook 80's production to appreciate a good melody

Yes I am judging the song by where and when it came from, and if the song were played by a Jamaican band in the early 70's then the video would be much better and the recording sound would be different (but better). Reggae is one of my favourite genres and apart from one song by the mighty diamonds (in the 80's), this is the worst I have ever seen or heard - I conclude: By liking this song, you have immediately put yourself in the category of having an appalling taste in music.
