I think a practical and valid reason for Shamika and rest of the kids for not attending callback is their studies..most of the candidates aatta 9th std madhe aahet..tyancha abhyas ya spardhe mule maage padato aahe..shivaay 10th che classes pan suru honar asatil aani hee sagali mula mumbai baherachi aahet so tynacha jaasti vel jaail (think of neha!)I think these might be the personal reasons! With all that said n done, I am missing Shamika :(..she is my favorite! Aata tila aikata yenar nahi :(

Absolutely! I would b very disappointed but not at all surprised if Rohit turns out 2 b a winner. The voting system is not at all transparent. I have started to loose interest gradually in this "drama". Shalmali, Kartiki and Radhika are all called back when it was so obvious that Shalmali was the best. Rohit, Kartiki are so ordinary compared to likes of Prathamesh, Arya, Shamika. Prathamesh, Arya r just so talented that they haven't yet fallen prey 2 this "voting sytem". I wish them good luck!

I think this match is fixed. I can tell you that Rohit will be the winner. I guess Avadhoot is getting the "bhai log" phone calls from Marathwada. Rohit is the clear lowest quality in this group. He should have been out long back. but the catch is "voting" which no one knows how works and how many votes a particular singer gets...

She has been amazingly mature and balanced all through the competition. She got eliminated quite early (but came back in the callback) but even then she was very sporting. Fully agree with Awadhoot that she is clearly a fine human being. Contrast with Amruta Khanvilkar after the Ekapeksha Ek mega final!

ahonkan, even I have heard from some people in Shamika's town that the candidates had to pay for 'staying' in the competition and this has been going on since early episodes. This may not be true for the most popular singers as Zee would lose a lot of revenue through SMSs if they had been eliminated early.

Shamika was expected to participate in the callback round just the next day and so Pallavi said she was not going to say goodbye to Shamika. Several people have reported that the channel asked parents of all callback candidates to pay Rs 1.5-2.5L to appear on the callback episode and 4 of the 7 refused. If that's true, I strongly believe the callback was a staged event to get Kartiki & Shalmali back (& so they were probably not asked to pay).

scoring system by these judjes has net been consistent in the entire show. they will say good, good for everything, but may not give high scores. and sometimes they will point out mistakes but still would give high scores..system is not fair.

You are confusing my unhappiness over Kartiki's unreasonably high scores with a personal bias against Kartiki. Believe me, I would give a prize to each and every one if I had a choice. The manipulation of judges' scores and SMS votes smells of a conspiracy. This excellent show could do without it.

ahonkan, Unintentionally, we might give these kids the wrong message. They have their entire lives ahead to sing, to discover beauty in music. this is just a beginning. It is the journey that counts, not an "outcome". you stated that Rohit has improved and found his voice. Devaki Pandit, Suresh Wadkar, Taufiq Qureishi and others have profusely praised Kartiki.

Agree about Mugha and Shalmali. I do miss Shamika but am kind of happy the way she stood for the decision of not returning to the callback episode. She probably had experienced and realized what's going to happen. Rohit and Kartiki are getting 'special' treatment by Awadhoot and Vaishali though they don't deserve it. I just hope Arya and Prathamesh don't get affected by this politics.

Shalmali survived this time just because the SMS anomaly (just to be polite) miraculously disappeared. But that reprieve is just for a week unfortunately. She has been less irritating in her facial contortions lately. Always sang well, and should have made the top 5 along with Shamika. Mugdha? She should have gone home a lot earlier. About Rohit dont under-estimate the Latur pattern. Unfortunately this math does not bode well for Arya, or God forbid, even Prathamesh.

Don't be so unkind to Rohit. He has his limitations and is not Gifted like Prathamesh or Arya. But as Judges have noted recently he has been the most improved contestants. Personally I have found his performance has gone up leaps and bound after hovering in "Danger Zone" few weeks ago. In fact his ????? ???? ???? was simply superb, its just that it went unnoticed, due to ??? ?????? by ???????.

i just listened to this song and the original back to back. I have to say - Prathamesh has realyy screwed it - worse than I had thought earlier. Even giving him some concession for the age (which is not really fair to him). I have said this earlier - but unfortunately Prathamesh is the only one who has actually gone down in his quality from the start. May be he was too good for these judges to start with. I still remember his "Kashi Tuj Samajaawoo.." and think it was his best..

What's the point having a hindi round in a marathi show? Do they have a marathi round in the hindi show? Then why should we insist they have perfect pronunciations? Mugdha does not even understand hindi.. Why not have two marathi rounds each time instead of Pallavi's inane remarks.

I think "Channel wants" - Mugdha, Kartiki,Rohit in the mega-finals..no doubt about that...and probably Prathamesh looking at the way he is getting performer of the day ( I see it as just a way to keep him even after low votes).... I really feel sorry for Arya, Shalmali and Avanti...I feel we would see them going out if Gupte-Samant jodi keeps giving them low score even for well sung songs....

Looks like channel wants to keep him till mega-final...Shalmali was more than perfect gets D-P? May be just another 2 weeks before she goes out..Same for Arya and Avanti (another 2-3 weeks for them to go out)

And they still gave him N-N! Poor Shalmali sang brilliantly- D-P. Mugdha was her 'bALbodh' self- D-D. Arya sang wonderfully - D-N. Avanti was the best- D-D. Rohit sang poorly but at least sang a hard song- N-N. Quota candidate Kartiki- S+G+! Ridiculously inconsistent scoring this round.

couldn't he choose some other song by Dey? he could have chosen more "bhaavpoorNa" song like..Laga Chunari Mein Daag ! This was a wrong choice..and a lot of wrong pronunciations..(for example "Hain" sounds more Punjabi than hindi)
