higgins waterproof ink pat catans, michaels, joann fabrics... if you do this technique make sure the ink is waterproof to prevent smearing. this is the technique i usually use.. but for highlights i use white acrylic paint and smudge it in with my thumb so its blended into the watercolor more and not as rough.
