It usually takes me about 30 mins to get warmed up by doing leg raises hip rotations and light stretches etc before I can get my full stretch. So its really only about half an hour stretching. I think i'm fully recovered because I dont feel stiff the next day, not anymore anyway. I'm really just looking for reasurance that all this stretchings going to pay off, from sumbody whos had to work to acheive flexibility.

It's not how long you stretch, it's how often and what method(s) you use and how you recover, eat, rest, etc... 1 hour every day could be too much.

If you stretch a muscle for over 20-30 seconds it becomes ineffective. You can stretch for 3 minutes for one muscle group, but you are just wasting your time. LOL,2 hours stetching? Like I said, as a swimmer/runner I can stretch under 8 minutes and pull great times out without any injuries, and feeling great right after stretching.

yet in the new england journal of medicine they ran several studies saying how there was an increase since the 80's of people getting into the running craze, yet spiking in muscle injury and pulling due to improper length of stretch pre and post running. they said 30 minutes minimum to do a proper stretch. as a dancer we had whole classes of just stretching. and that's a lot longer than 30 minuts, like 2 hours.

Wrong. You are not supposed to stretch one muscle for over 20 seconds. When I ran track, i could pull a 4 minute mile with under 5 minute stretching. When I swim, I could swim for over 2 hours with under 5 minutes of stretching. The list goes on and on.

8 minutes is hardly time enough to stretch any one section of the muscles. this is really a bad video. other than giving you ideas, it's awful and misleading. go run a 10k after 8 minutes of stretching see if you don't endup stretched out on the side of the road in someones ambulance.

You are wetting the brown paper to much or your watercolour paper could be too wet let all the water runoff before you stick it down. Then try wetting the brown paper less I use a j, cloth when wetting the brown paper i wet the cloth a wring it out. You could practice with the brown paper to see how much water to put on.

everytime i try to stretch my paper for the watercolors the tape starts to come of while its dryin..u must be thinkin that it wouldnt be applied correctly but no i thn also tried to with applyin pins aswell to give the tape some support but evn thn the paper starts to tear from the point of contact of the pin...i dont know wht to do!!! does it depend on the type of scholar sheets aswell????

Yeah I try to workout with a buddy, but sometimes my schedule is so out of whack that it's hard to create a solid meeting schedule. Ok, so I think this would be similar to a forced negative rep (referring to weight training)..for instance, bicep curl, start with more weight than you could curl, but start at the top and let the weight pull your arms down while you try to keep it up. Nigel: I think everyone can improve their flexibility in one way or another, even if they aren't flexible. Start stretching in small increments that your muscles can handle. Make it a point to do a light warm-up first (shadow box, jog in place, jump rope, etc.)to warm the muscles. The key is consistency, try it for a few weeks, I'm sure you'll notice a difference. Relax when you are stretching, mental heaviness affects the routine.

I have had PF in my right heel for months. My podiatrist said I have a very extreme case of it and it's very hard for me to walk. Right now I'm using crutches and have a temporary cast on my foot. The podiatrist gave me a Dorsi Wedge which looks almost like a ski boot that has 3 velcro straps on top that I have to where when I go to sleep at night and when I'm resting during the day. I have heard of InfraRed Light Treatment but have no idea of how effective it is for Plantar Fasciitis. There are some internet links that address the issue and the prefered wavelengths of light. The idea is that a light box containing LEDs with infrared light wavelengths are placed under the feet. Infrared light is said to have healing powers. sigh... I am in a running team, and I'm the slowest one. I wish I could be a little faster. I'll guess I'll have to practice running around the lake everyday. Well, Running is fun and I like it. I came on here as I have moved to Asia and am seeking a running coach. Having spoken to two of my coaches in Australia today, I was concerned about how my coach in Hong Kong is wanting to completely change my technique, to include heal-to-ground motion. The analysis presented here is very consistent & accurate to most info, succinct in its explanation for those wanting a snap-shot on running technique for speed. I have also problem with motivation. Though it has been better when i started to set up goals to myself and mention this goal to other (then you feel more obligated not to give up). Always do test continously, but not too often of course. That way you have something to strive for. set up a race with friends, or sign up for a competition. Maybe you can set up a scheduel for a month. That will get the train going, and get you addicted to training and used to release energy at those times.

Ive watched a bunch of your videos and have found them to be highly informative and well done ty .I've got a hypothetical question for you regarding vertical axis windmills . I've been thinking it might be possible to improve the electricity output one gets from these machines by incorporating a few variations /modifications ? Instead of utilizing a standard rotor/ stator type generator directly driven by the motion of the mill Im thinking that a coil approx the outside diameter of the blade

Thanks I have always wanted to do this. I used to watch Ross on TV paint happy little trees and wanted to get into painting but a blank canvas was $40 at an art store and I would have to pay alot of money to get started painting. (brushes and paints) I am not a bad artist myself, I worked in a Tattoo shop for 5 years but got bored with it.
